White Wine Pasta Sauce
A simple, elegant white wine pasta sauce made with garlic, butter, olive oil, and fresh herbs. Light but flavorful—perfect with chicken, seafood, or on its own.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh pasta
- 2 tsp garlic minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper freshly ground
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley chopped
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions, 1 minute less than al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
- In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and crushed red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add salt, black pepper, white wine, and butter. Stir to combine and cook for about 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to come together.
- Remove sauce from heat and toss with cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- Goes great with light proteins like chicken or seafood.
- Cooking the pasta slightly underdone and finishing it in the sauce enhances flavor and texture.
- Serve immediately for best results.
