Chai Masala (Tea)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons ginger powder or freshly grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons green cardamom pods ground
  • 1 tsp nutmeg grated
  • 1 1/2 tsp cloves ground
  • 1 1/2 tsp white pepper ground
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon ground
  • 1/4 tsp saffron

Instructions
 

  • Heat a small non-stick pan to medium-low
  • Add spices and roasted until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes (be careful not to burn).
  • Mix and store in a cool, dry space

For Tea

  • Heat up a cup of your favorite black tea; assam is traditionally used
  • Put 1-2 tsp (depending on your spice preference) in an empty tea bag and steep the spices with the tea ~5 minutes. Remove the tea bag.
  • Add your favorite creamy dairy product and sweetener to taste
